coming

WORDS:

coming from the womb;

cradled by my mother.

and she came from the sun

but father was the thunder.

my brothers were waves

and my sisters were the storm.

the sun settles and the calm

stretches out the dawn.

inscribed on my iris was a place

where seasons explode;

either winter or summer

my sight will not implode.

coming from the anger

and i became silence

coming from their warmth

turned to misunderstood violence.

call out the moonlight;

and carve a half moon.

i am the howl of the alpha wolf.

coming from the stars

my existence stripped out its shine

but each speck of light always was mine.

coming from the dawn of the desert dust

and sand dunes are my origin.

i came cold as day and hot as night.
