if i had words like a poet

WORDS:

I want to write about
the incandescent skies;
the nebulous horizons;
the midsummer mists;
then get lost in the skies that words;
commanded to remain blue.

I want to write about
adapting the ums in my speech,
metamorphosing songs
merging metaphors to become melodies

I want to write about
you, mine, and thee.
wanderlust with subjects:
probe predicates:
meet with metaphors.

I want to write about mountains
without valleys.
smooth peaks and soft troughs
landscapes that learnt to meander with my words.

I want to write about
the chaos meeting calm
like the admonition of a psalm.
deers, gazelles and antelopes:
skipping over half rhythms
under the hues of the blue skies.

I want to write about personifications:
as an extension of me.
I want to set my umm and ahs free
I want to write about sentences:
being a flock of birds

I want to write about syllables:
doctored by me.

I then sliced five
and freed another five.
before the seven.

I want to write haikus about
weaving the sunset
into blue skies

I want to write poems as prose
where I the poet
becomes an allegory.

Only if I had the words of a poet:
would I love in poetry?
would I laugh in poetry?
would my light shine in poetry?

I want to be a poet waxing my words.
brighter than the leaves of the cherry blossom tree.
