WORDS:
tonight, this hard shell will break soft.
with its small pieces voyaging into big places.
its lost ways are found in the earthed soils
no singing birds to write its words
they layer nests with undressed leaves
apologising to the twig stating its reasons.
when the dawn darkens in the horizon
the skyline looks down on the soil
shades become shadows in the night
the moonbeam dances with the stillness.
take a small breath and ask for a big life
where there is reason and faith
lullabies are active songs waiting
when the music stops, we start to dance.
with the birds flying and man walking
another day in the ominous earth.
